What You’ll Do
Are you a detail-driven coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating seamless candidate experiences? As a Legal Talent Acquisition Assistant , you’ll play a key role in supporting recruiting efforts in our San Francisco office, partnering closely with a dynamic local team and the broader Firmwide Legal Talent Acquisition function. This role is central to ensuring an organized, engaging, and efficient hiring process; from candidate outreach to onboarding, while contributing to high impact recruiting initiatives and events.
What You’ll Do
- Candidate & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records in viDesktop, track candidate progress, and organize materials to support hiring decisions.
- Recruiting Coordination & Outreach: Support candidate engagement efforts, including campus recruiting, events, and targeted outreach initiatives.
- Hiring & Onboarding Support: Assist with offer processes, draft communications, coordinate receptions, and support onboarding through SilkRoad.
- Event Planning & Execution: Help plan, organize, and staff recruiting and summer associate events, managing logistics, attendance tracking, and materials.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Partner across teams, support contractors, track RSVPs, prepare surveys, and generate reports for analysis and audits.
- Operations & Process Improvement: Handle expense reporting, support ad hoc projects, and identify opportunities to streamline processes using automation and AI tools.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- At least 1+ year of experience in an office or law firm environment preferred.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities with precision in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships with attorneys and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Eagerness to learn new tools and continuously improve processes and outcomes.

Compensation
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in San Francisco. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. We offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits including comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and retirement. Compensation Range
San Francisco: $58,000 - $83,000
