Why this role? This is a highly visible Business Affairs role embedded within a fast-growing entertainment, music, and digital media platform operating at the center of creator culture and emerging technology. You will work across sophisticated music, licensing, publishing, distribution, creator partnership, and strategic commercial matters while partnering directly with senior leadership and cross-functional business teams.

The role offers broad exposure to cutting-edge entertainment and digital media transactions, significant ownership over high-volume deal flow, and the opportunity to help shape the legal infrastructure of a rapidly scaling global business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and execute a broad range of music, entertainment, media, and technology agreements
  • Support recording, publishing, licensing, distribution, synchronization, and creator partnership matters
  • Lead negotiations across commercial, strategic partnership, sponsorship, and platform agreements
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal risk, deal structure, and evolving industry issues
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams spanning A&R, publishing, marketing, finance, digital, and creator partnerships
  • Manage high-volume deal flow while balancing legal protection with practical business solutions
  • Support rights management, licensing, content monetization, and dispute prevention efforts
  • Help develop and refine internal templates, systems, and operational workflows
  • Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to scaling the legal function as the company grows

About You

  • JD + active U.S. bar membership
  • 8+ years of experience with significant music and entertainment transaction exposure
  • Strong background negotiating and drafting music-related agreements
  • Deep familiarity with record labels, publishers, DSPs, creators, and digital media businesses
  • Sophisticated understanding of copyright, licensing, and entertainment industry practices
  • Experience managing complex, high-volume deal flow independently
  • Business-minded and solutions-oriented with strong commercial instincts
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
