Legal.io is working with a top technology company who is seeking a legal operations professional with ebilling experience to join for a 3-month contract.

 

The role will focus on day-to-day ebilling responsibilities inside of SimpleLegal while the company migrates from SimpleLegal to Bright Flag.

 

This is a 3-month, 40hr/week, fully remote role.

Location: Remote (United States)

Hours: 40 Hours / Week

Technology: SimpleLegal (required), BrightFlag

Duration: 3 months, starting mid-April

Pay Rate: $45 - $66/hr ($90,000 - $120,000 annualized)

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Own day-to-day ebilling operations in SimpleLegal while the team handles the larger migration to BrightFlag, ensuring continuity and data integrity.
  • Monitor and triage billing-related email queues; respond to and escalate issues to stakeholders and cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Triage and Respond to any inbound questions from panel firms and vendors.
  • Develop and deliver custom reports from SimpleLegal to support day-to-day ebilling processes, budgeting, and the migraiton.
  • Coordinate with internal Legal Ops, Finance, and external vendors (including SimpleLegal contacts) to advance migration tasks and timelines.
  • Perform data validation, invoice reconciliation, and exception handling to minimize disruption to billing and vendor payments.
  • Maintain clear status updates, issue logs, and playbooks to support handoff and knowledge transfer at contract close.

 

Requirements

 

  • 3+ years of experience with eBilling, specifically with SimpleLegal
  • Demonstrable experience extracting data, building custom reports, and managing operations in SimpleLegal.
  • Nice to have: practical experience with e-billing migrations or system transitions (BrightFlag experience a plus).
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
