Responsibilities
- Case Management Maintain organized physical and digital files for complex business litigation cases; track deadlines and manage the firm’s master calendar.
- Translation & Interpretation Translate legal correspondence, contracts, and evidence (emails, texts, memos) from Korean to English and vice versa. Provide live interpretation during client meetings, intake interviews, and occasionally during preparation for depositions.
- Legal Drafting Prepare shells for pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and basic motions.
- Discovery & E-Discovery Assist with the collection and "Bates stamping" of documents, specifically ensuring Korean-language documents are correctly categorized for review.
- Client Liaison Serve as the primary point of contact for Korean-speaking business owners and executives, providing status updates and gathering necessary documentation.
Minimum
- No experience is required, but 1-2 years of experience in administrative/accounting or legal work is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Native or fluent in Korean (reading, speaking, and writing)
- Excellent time-management and organizational skill
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Experience in construction is a strong plus
