Position: Legal Aid / Staff Attorney (Civil Legal Services Expert)

Type: Contract

Compensation: $120/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated legal analyses for legal accuracy, completeness, and practical applicability.
• Evaluate hypothetical scenarios involving housing, family law, and consumer protection.
• Identify legal inaccuracies, procedural issues, and jurisdiction-specific nuances.
• Provide clear, structured written feedback to improve AI-generated legal reasoning.
• Apply practical courtroom and client advocacy experience when evaluating responses.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI model performance.
  
  

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active U.S. bar admission in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience practicing civil legal services.
• Demonstrated expertise in housing law, family law, consumer protection, or debt defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with Legal Aid organizations or nonprofit legal services.
• Familiarity with jurisdiction-specific civil court procedures.
• Experience representing vulnerable or underserved populations.
• Experience reviewing legal work products or supervising junior attorneys.
• Interest in legal technology or AI-assisted legal workflows.
