Salary - $41,280.24 ($1,720.01 semi-monthly)

How This Position Supports The Department’s Vision

The General Counsel’s Office Bankruptcy Unit is looking for a detail-oriented person with a strong work ethic to work under the supervision of the Unit’s Managing Counsel and Administrative Support Professional. The ideal candidate is organized and detail oriented.

Duties Performed To Support The Department’s Vision

  • Open and monitor a high volume of consumer bankruptcy cases
  • File claims on behalf of MDOR in such cases
  • Ensure that MDOR’s computer systems are timely updated in response to bankruptcy court activity, such as dismissals or case closures

Qualifications

  • Detail oriented and excellent organization skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with Revenue Premier (business tax or individual tax) preferred but not required
  • Associate degree, high school diploma or 2-4 years of experience in legal environment (Substitutions may be allowed)
