Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of litigation in a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and organizing legal documents, assisting with pleadings and motions, and managing case files and discovery materials. The role involves conducting legal and factual research, summarizing documents and deposition transcripts, and maintaining databases, calendars, and trial notebooks. The Litigation Paralegal will coordinate with attorneys, clients, courts, and third parties to ensure timely filings, compliance with procedural rules, and efficient case management. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications

  • Ability to perform legal document preparation, including drafting and formatting litigation-related documents.
  • Proficiency in document review, including organizing, analyzing, and summarizing discovery and case materials.
  • Strong legal research skills using online research platforms and court resources.
  • Experience assisting with pleadings and motions, including filing, tracking, and supporting related court procedures.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent education; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, ideally with complex commercial matters.
  • Knowledge of federal and state court rules, e-filing systems, and litigation procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, document management systems, and litigation support tools.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage deadlines for multiple cases.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with attorneys and staff.
