About the Role:

We are looking for a Paralegal to support our growing legal team here at Tubi. The legal department is run by our General Counsel and consists of seven additional attorneys who provide counseling on a wide range of legal and business issues. The Tubi legal department is fast-paced, challenging, collaborative, and strives to be an excellent partner to our fellow Tubies. We are all under a mandatory work from home policy at the moment, but for the long-term we would like this position to be located near San Francisco or Los Angeles.

Responsibilities:

Deep understanding of complex contract terms for content licensing
Enters and maintains all metadata of rights for movies and television series in contracts database (Rightsline)
Work with our legal, content acquisition, finance, and marketing teams to build, populate and maintain a digital rights management system. Must be able to manage and continually fine-tune the system to account for additional content and contract types
Draft and redline commercial contracts, including but not limited to NDAs, SOWs, and MSAs
Creating contract workflows for various business verticals, including managing templates and executing contracts
Develop, manage, and streamline contract lifecycles (e.g., collaborating with multiple departments and broker efficiencies across various internal stakeholders)
Provide support to the legal department in long-term projects that improve the performance and efficiencies of the legal team
Interface with multiple teams to assist the legal team's efforts in the preparation, implementation and optimization of forms, processes and procedures

Your Background:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
7+ years as a paralegal with an in-house legal department; level of position dependent upon experience
Paralegal certificate from an accredited program or an equivalent combination of skills
Highly effective communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization on a full range of issues (requirements, policy, comprehensive and effective strategies).
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters
Demonstrates interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively independently and with others
