Outdoorsy is seeking a proactive and highly motivated dynamic Senior Corporate Counsel to join our growing organization and manage all legal matters and risks. Outdoorsy has been recognized on the Forbes list of America’s Best Startup Employers in both 2020 and 2021.

Responsibilities:

Examine and draft business agreements and contracts with customers, vendors and other outside parties, manage copyrights, trademarks, patents and trade secrets, insurance matters and employee relations

Ensure legal compliance regarding SEC matters, support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and partnership activities, employee safety and data protection programs, corporate governance and establish the prudence of defending and prosecuting lawsuits

Work collaboratively to prioritize business objectives and manage corporate aspects

Contribute to corporate governance and reporting matters, including international regulatory filings and company policies

Provide support for other corporate projects, including working on a range of complex corporate issues

Be a key partner to the business, needing to understand the strategy and growth trajectory of the company and assisting the business with solutions to reach our collective goals

Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school

5+ years of practice with an established law firm or relevant in-house counsel experience

Strong background in general corporate practice including significant experience in contracts, HR, SEC, and M&A

Experience with corporate governance issues and corporate secretarial duties

Knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to businesses

A team player attitude; ability to easily handle multi-tasking between shifting priorities, lead cross-functional groups, and operate in a fast-paced, flexible, culture

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
