The Senior Counsel position supports Link’s efforts by providing real estate-focused legal guidance, counsel, and support to all departments within Link’s industrial real estate management platform consisting of more than 400 million square feet and serving over 7,500 tenants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and assist with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and financings.
  • Draft and negotiate real estate-related documents (g., lease amendments, short-term leases, lease assignments, subleases, consents to transfers, guaranties, licenses, waivers/subordinations, terminations, letters of credit, non-disclosure agreements).
  • Interpret leases, draft tenant default/demand letters, and prepare other tenant correspondence.
  • Draft and negotiate ancillary property management documents (g., service contracts, construction agreements, management agreements, easements, hold harmless agreements, licenses, agreement terminations/extensions, entry indemnification agreements, bills of sale, association documentation, estoppels).
  • Contact tenant attorneys to discuss and settle matters, as appropriate.
  • Work with and monitor external legal counsel on various real estate matters.
  • Draft and negotiate corporate contracts (g., IT contracts, consulting agreements, software licenses).
  • Partner with transactional paralegals to provide efficient legal services to property managers, leasing representatives, construction managers, and other corporate departments.
  • Oversee additional corporate functions and legal projects on an as-needed basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Juris doctorate degree with at least 4-5 years of relevant law firm or in-house experience.
  • Licensed as a practicing attorney in good standing.
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.
