To strengthen our Legal team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Senior Counsel – Neurology U.S.


The
Senior Counsel – Neurology U.S. will provide day-to-day legal support to the U.S. Neurology organization and its U.S. portfolio. This role will provide legal support to all elements of the cross-functional teams responsible for launch and commercialization of U.S. Neurology brands and activities.


Our U.S. headquarters is in Atlanta, and willingness to relocate is requested for this position. However, UCB may also consider remote candidates who meet the qualifications below and are willing to travel frequently to Atlanta.


You like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Provide a broad range of legal counsel as a product attorney in an in-house counsel role supporting a key business unit in a global biopharmaceutical company
  • Provide strategic guidance and legal counsel to UCB’s Neurology organization using an agile framework and mindset


You will contribute by:

  • Proactively counseling and providing strategic advice to UCB’s U.S. Neurology business
  • Providing legal advice and guidance on anti-kickback and fraud & abuse considerations, antitrust, PDMA, privacy, HUB support services, as well as FDA regulatory matters, including promotion and advertising regulation
  • Preparing for new product launches
  • Negotiating and drafting complex contracts for the U.S. Neurology business, including commercial, collaboration, and research agreements
  • Advising on key business initiatives including market research, real world evidence, and scientific congresses


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree
  • Graduate of an accredited U.S. law school with academic achievement, licensed and in good standing to practice law
  • U.S. attorney with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience with focus in pharmaceutical/healthcare law; preferably including 3+ years experience in-house as a product attorney


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience providing counsel to the pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences industry
