Legal Operations Analyst

Nutanix is looking for a Legal Operations Analyst to join our dynamic, growing Legal team. Reporting to the Director of Legal Operations, Chief of Staff, this is an exciting opportunity to help grow a new function within the Nutanix Legal team and work on highly impactful, game changing projects. Our legal group has built a reputation as a change agent; a team that embraces innovative business models, pioneering service delivery, technology, and business process best practices to help Nutanix achieve great things. As a member of the Legal Operations team, you will be at the center of this innovation and will be at the forefront of developing and executing on strategies to empower our Legal team and its cross functional partners. This is a high visibility\high impact position.

This role requires a proactive operative with a bias for action. Our Legal Ops Analyst must be a problem-solver at their core. A self-starter who loves and understands technology, builds strong, collaborative relationships with business stakeholders, takes initiative to drive projects and is not afraid to step outside of the comfort zone to tackle the task of the day is a perfect fit for Nutanix.

Experience working in an in-house Legal team is preferred but not required. If you have a knack for technology and finding clarity amongst chaos, we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with our Director of Legal Operations, Chief of Staff:

  • You will become our Legal tools & technology subject matter expert and not only help maintain existing software tools but be the leader in discovering ways to expand usage and enable adoption.
  • You will help the Legal team identify opportunities for efficiency via automation and process development and standardization, and work with other business functions to implement process improvements.
  • You will partner closely with the commercial-legal team to identify, develop and project manage commercial specific standardization and infrastructure projects, such as developing processes around our templates and playbooks, and automating parts of the contracting process.
  • You will use data and analytics to help the team make strategic data-driven decisions.
  • You will be a change management champion and will help lead implementation, enablement and training for new tools and processes.
  • You will work on a wide variety of legal ops projects, including ebilling, contract lifecycle, contract\agreement automation, approval automation, training and team development, knowledge management, and numerous other workflow optimization and automation endeavors

 About You

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of contract provisions, contracting issues and contracting processes - some legal training preferable but not required
  • Experience working in or closely with an in-house legal team
  • Comfortable in addressing new situations and in use of independent judgment.
  • Committed to his or her personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with action.
  • Experience with a contract management system, i.e. Docusign CLM/Spring CM (preferred), SFDC, Apttus, Conga
  • Experience with ebilling system, i.e. SimpleLegal (preferred), Legal Tracker, Brightflag
  • Professional in all ways. Courteous, flexible, highly organized, competent, reliable and proactive. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • Ability to set priorities, be flexible and handle multiple tasks, and to track and follow up on projects.
  • Detail oriented, meticulous and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable working collaboratively in a team environment with all levels of the company, including executive management and sales teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high pressure situations and take initiative where appropriate.
  • General interest in tools and new technologies and ability to learn new tools and technologies easily
  • Strong persuasive abilities, including outstanding influence and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented, practical environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to spot issues or gaps and have the enthusiasm for solving such issues or problems and adding value to the Company.
