PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP and SAP’s customers are faced with an increasingly complex global environment in which to operate their businesses. This is especially true in the rapidly progressing area of Cloud compliance. The Regulatory Affairs department at SAP Legal is responsible for providing a coherent, consistent, and reliable approach to Cloud compliance at SAP.
The Integrated Regulatory Office (IRO) is a team within Regulatory Affairs, Tech Law & Operations in SAP Legal with the mandate to build a network across SAP and drive a cross-functional, multi-jurisdictional, and end-to-end approach to regulatory compliance at SAP for products, services, and internal operations.
The primary responsibility of the Lead Regulatory Counsel is to help develop the architecture and provide legal analysis on regulatory compliance projects and help shape the evolution of SAP’s end-to-end compliance management process. This role reports to the Head of the IRO and will work closely and in a collaborative fashion with colleagues in Security, Data Protection & Export Control, Government Relations, as well as Product Development, Cloud Operations, and Operating Lines of Business.
Every team member is expected to be a self-starter with a high degree of internal customer focus, service attitude, and critical thinking with a solution focus. You will work in a strong, supportive team environment and must also be capable of working independently, shaping your approach to successfully deliver on your defined responsibilities. You will collaborate and support other teams who are working together to deliver on SAP’s Cloud compliance needs and those related to our SAP customers. You are a change agent for SAP Cloud compliance with the opportunity to influence the shape of your own work and simplify the path to compliance for other SAP teams - and have some fun along the way.
