Meet the team:

The Office of the General Counsel includes the Legal, Risk and Compliance, Government Relations, Safety Assurance and Internal Audit functions. The Argo Office of the General Counsel delivers value to the business by supporting its lawful and ethical operations as it strives to reach ambitious goals. 

The Risk and Compliance function works across the organization to identify, categorize, prioritize, manage and report on the risks inherent in Argo’s business; and to develop risk mitigation plans to reduce and proactively manage risks in line with Argo-approved tolerances to promote Argo’s commitment to safety and building a trustworthy self-driving system that makes transportation safer and more convenient for all.

What you’ll do: 

  • Plan and execute end-to-end risk assessments by defining scope, conducting interviews, analyzing risks, identifying proposed risk mitigation actions, and preparing and delivering reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Identify and prioritize risk mitigation actions and track action items to completion 
  • Maintain and update Risk Register 
  • Project manage Risk Remediation Plans 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for risk management improvements
  • Establish partnerships with risk owners, functional leaders and other key stakeholders within Argo

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of professional experience in Risk Management required
  • High degree of integrity
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills that help facilitate interactions with business partners
  • Strong understanding of risk management concepts 
  • Strong working knowledge of risk assessment frameworks (COSO, SOX) and other regulatory requirements
  • High level of self-initiative
  • Comfortable and flexible working in a fast-paced environment

Nice to haves:

  • Experience building and executing risk assessments
  • Professional ERM or audit-related certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, ARM, etc.)
