Minimum qualifications:

  •  JD degree or equivalent practical experience.
  •  7 years of experience in the attorney level.
  •  Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in broad-based litigation, including intellectual property and technology matters.
  • Experience in broad litigation , including but not limited to examining and defending witnesses, verbal argument, and trial.
  • Knowledge of Google's products and technology industry.
  • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $216,000-$324,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of litigation disputes, and advise prelitigation disputes, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation.
  • Work closely with various legal, product, engineering and business team members to provide counseling on litigation disputes.
  • Partner with outside counsel to take an active role in litigation disputes.
  • Collaborate with other external in-house counsel and legal organizations on litigation and policy matters.
