Position Summary

The fully remote Litigation Paralegal position works collaboratively with the ADT Solar and Security legal departments to manage, track, and resolve all types of litigation from pre-litigation demands to complex lawsuits pending in state and federal court.

Job Duties

  • Manages ADT Solar’s litigation docket from intake to case resolution with a focus on deadlines and communication with legal department attorneys and staff.
  • Supervises the legal department’s legal assistants, case managers, and other support staff as needed.
  • Communicates with outside counsel regarding deadlines, information requests, and other case developments.
  • Independently handles subpoenas, attorney demands, attorney general complaints, small claims court appearances, and pro se litigants in arbitration.
  • Supports legal department attorneys as needed with discovery responses, pleading reviews, government agency responses and hearings, large-scale document review, legal drafting, and research.
  • Establishes contacts and builds relationships across the company’s different departments to effectively respond to information requests with minimal supervision.
  • Provides feedback to legal department attorneys on litigation processes, staff performance, and new developments.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to improve legal department processes with better procedures for all aspects of inhouse litigation experience, including document management, staff allocation, and software deployment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five-years of experience with a midsize to large law firm specializing in civil litigation.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree and a paralegal certificate.
  • Proficiency with legal research software, document management systems, and document review platforms.
  • Strong written communication skills, including drafting and review experience.
