Senior Director - Global Security Operations - (M7)

Scope of Position

Manage the development, oversight and execution of strategic Security programs and initiatives for Applied Materials at the site, region, and global levels. This role requires a unique combination of security/safety expertise coupled with deep program management and strategic initiatives development experience. 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Budget / results accountability for assigned projects, programs and initiatives
  • Manage the development of Applied Materials Security & Business Resiliency Program and related capabilities implementation around Federal Programs, guard force services deployment, investigations, events security, emergency preparedness, and managing workplace violence prevention initiatives globally
  • Set regional security operations expectations and oversee implementation of all contract security services contracts globally.
  • Establish and oversee the implementation of physical security standards for all sites globally.
  • Works cross-functionally to develop KPI’s & SLA’s in areas of responsibility
  • Leverage internal case management system to ensure proper staffing deployment
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement security awareness and training programs, including workplace violence initiatives
  • Other strategic initiatives / projects as needed

  • Build relationships with E-Staff and business leaders
  • Promote the Security function as subject a matter expert within Applied Materials
  • Ability to collaborate with other service functions (GWI, BU’s, GIS, HR, Finance, Legal)
  • Willingness to challenge status quo, innovate and introduce new ideas
  • Understanding of differences in standards across geographies and cultures

 

Professional Expertise/ Knowledge

  • Industry best practices and metrics defining operational performance
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams around safety and business continuity program process implementation and emergency management (ICS) – preferably in global corporation setting
  • Strategic planning / program management in global security domain
  • Knowledge of estimating and cost associated with various system applications

 

Experience

  • 15+ years in a similar role within a multi-national corporate security team
  • Expertise in program development and management / strategic planning & initiatives

U.S. Salary Range:

$184,000.00 - $253,000.00

 

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
