Job Description Summary

The Export Control Compliance Project Manager is responsible for initiating and leading ITC projects related to GE HealthCare’s global export and sanctions compliance programs, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and lean management. The Project Manager will represent ITC on cross-functional teams for a wide variety of business projects. The Project Manager will work closely with other stakeholders to maximize the efficacy of trade automation tools.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The international trade compliance team counsels GE HealthCare's business on global export control and sanctions requirements, applies for governmental export licenses, and provides compliance advice and oversight for international trade activities on a global basis.

  • Proactively lead, manage, and coordinate reporting and communication on various ITC compliance projects.

  • Act as the ITC focal point for various cross-functional and cross-regional business initiatives and programs.  Coordinate and consult closely with other ITC team members to facilitate efficient resolution of trade compliance issues and to ensure that global trade compliance standards are met.

  • Work with ITC team members to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives and lean strategies.

  • Drive development of trade compliance automation tools in collaboration with other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in International Trade Compliance or related experience.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong knowledge of U.S., EU and other country export controls and sanctions laws and regulations; strong working knowledge of the Harmonized System (HS) for tariff classifications.

  • Prior experience managing trade compliance within an automated trade system.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Established project management skills and demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional programs and projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

The salary range for this position is 140,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave.
