POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist who is looking for an exciting and fast-paced in-house opportunity at our rapidly expanding practice. The position will report to the Director of Legal Operations and will focus on a broad range of the Practice’s legal department needs and growth, including areas of vendor management, financial management, technology administration, knowledge management, metric development and reporting, and special projects.

 

TEAM OVERVIEW

The Legal Operations Specialist will join Radiology Partners’ growing legal department, working alongside and in support of our highly experienced business team. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support on a variety of legal operations areas relating to financial management, vendor management and strategy, technology selection, implementation, and administration, knowledge management, metric development and department reporting. Duties include:

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of all Legal Department IT systems including tracking and implementing updates/renewals; designing and implementing new initiatives; suggesting and implementing improvements to current systems; working with or serving as network administrator for IT systems; and identifying opportunities to leverage technology solutions to resolve business issues
  • Support Legal Department invoicing processes, including standardizing processes and procedures, overseeing billing guidelines and vendor management, ensuring proper coding, and analysis and recommending cost-saving measures
  • Support with documentation of financial reporting for outside legal fee spend including validating and ensuring integrity of data
  • Assist with development and tracking of performance metrics, which may include client satisfaction surveys, and spending benchmarking
  • Partner with IT to help implement legal/compliance system upgrades, enhancements, patches, etc. as needed to support the goals of the Department
  •  Assist with training on Legal Department systems including overseeing and development of standard procedures/manuals
  • Act as a liaison for the Legal Department with corporate support functions including IT, Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations and Human Resources 
  • Assist with general operational matters including department meetings and events, training opportunities, teambuilding strategies and other activities within the Legal Department, as needed 

 

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1 - 2 years of business experience in project management, information technology or comparable position leading large-scale projects/programs, preferably in a legal department or firm; understanding of full project lifecycle management
  • Experience working with cloud-based and on-prem legal department technology solutions (e.g., e-billing, contract and document management, self-service contracting, e-signature, knowledge management)
  • Strong technical skills; proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven project management skills to consistently complete projects on-time with great attention to detail; capability to handle multiple assignments and manage major projects to successful completion
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to gather, analyze and extract useful data
  • High level of professionalism; handles sensitive/confidential information with appropriate care
  • Eager to go the ‘extra mile.’ Takes ownership of an issue once aware of it – goes the extra step to proactively seek out answers to problems that may fall outside area of expertise
  • Experience in seeking ways to improve/enhance processes, find efficiencies, think outside the box
  • Experience with Agiloft, CSC, or Onit a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with process improvement skills, such as Six Sigma, Process/Program Management, or related certifications, a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work matters
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking skills to provide practical advice with an awareness of legal risks in the business context
  • Intermediate MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel required
