Job Description

We are a consumer advocacy law firm in Santa Monica seeking an Associate Attorney with relevant civil litigation experience to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will primarily litigate cases under the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (“Lemon Law”) against major car manufacturers. This person must have strong writing and analytical skills, as well as strong client advocacy skills and a competitive desire to litigate. Responsibilities will include:

• Meeting and conferring with defense counsel
• Drafting various motions
• Various court appearances
• Vehicle inspections and surrenders
• Taking and defending depositions
• Eventually, trials and trial preparation

Necessary Qualifications:

• Is in good standing as an active member of the California Bar.
• Has 1-5 years experience as an attorney, preferably in California lemon law / consumer protection law, products liability and/or personal injury.
• Proficiency with the California rules of civil procedure.
• Preferably proficient with Federal rules of civil procedure.
• Has a desire to take on a challenging caseload.
• Has thorough and detailed organization skills.
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Has a competitive spirit and desire to be a strong client advocate.
