Job Summary  (Primary function)

The Associate Director, Global Privacy Operations works closely with the Global Privacy Office team members to support all Incyte activities involving personal information.  The individual in this role is a steward of Incyte Privacy’s policies, processes, and technology solutions supporting all US and Global functions as they embed privacy and data protection requirements and controls into contracts, projects, products, and services.  The Assoc. Director, Global Privacy Operations reports in to Incyte’s Global Privacy Officer.

 

Essential Functions of the Job  (Key responsibilities)

  • Lead the relationship between the Global Privacy Office and service providers and software vendors; assist with the identification of new privacy related products and services from time to time;
  • Support the Global Privacy Office with its work with IT, external website developers and translation service providers to keep internal and external privacy guidebooks, cookie notices, banners and other related materials up-to-date
  • Process and track all invoices, licenses and agreements, certifications and memberships, and update/renew as needed as directed by the Global Privacy Office; process all licenses and agreements for the Global Privacy Office as needed in Incyte’s contract management system.
  • Manage the Incyte privacy mailbox and toll-free telephone number; respond to inquiries as directed within timelines
  • Provide guidance to all functions/affiliate offices about privacy assessments in OneTrust, incidents, data subject requests, cookie consent banners and contracts; ensure incidents and data subject requests are managed appropriately and within timelines on behalf of the Global Privacy Office; engage with other internal and external stakeholders as needed
  • Develop and maintain OneTrust reports; execute procedure for the evaluation of risk flags in OneTrust.
  • Execute a change management framework for the Global Privacy Office for the purposes of reviewing, approving/rejecting, and implementing changes to existing templates, key decisions, settings, and workflows in privacy processes and software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain the privacy training program by working with Quality Assurance and other internal stakeholders; lead privacy training for all functions and affiliate offices as requested
  • Generate metrics and reports via various privacy software solutions used at Incyte including those from OneTrust; identify performance indicators and recommend opportunities to refine reports to promote efficiency and privacy compliance
  • Develop and maintain a document repository and manage access to the Privacy and Data Protection SharePoint site on the intranet
  • Support the Global Privacy Office’s team meetings by scheduling discussions, capturing minutes and action items as requested
  • Support Global Corporate Affairs and Compliance as needed with general contract management
  • Support third party due diligence procedures, artificial intelligence governance, and data ethics governance as requested
  • Contribute positively to a strong culture of privacy compliance and ethics

 

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 5 years relevant experience in a privacy, compliance or legal function
  • Pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Certification in privacy (such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM) preferred
  • Understanding of common cybersecurity practices and technical measures to keep information confidential and secure; experience with artificial intelligence and/or data governance helpful but not required
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, Visio and experience with solutions such as Salesforce, SharePoint, Intralinks, ServiceNow and PowerBI; experience with OneTrust’s suite of products is helpful but not required
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, proactive and adaptable
  • Excellent organization, project management and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and ability to maintain confidences while working with sensitive information
  • Experience working globally preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 2 times per year and up to 1 time per year internationally
