Job Purpose Pressed Juicery is seeking a Vice President of Employee Relations to be an integral part of our People team. This role is responsible for providing strategic as well as hands-on support to the business and HR teams, including running investigations/neutral inquiries, workers compensation, on and off boarding, HR policy creation and management, learning and development, and compliance. Reporting into the General Counsel/CPO, you will lead with fairness and consistency and be an advocate for a positive employee experience and a culture that is inclusive, transparent and supportive.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Ensure appropriate communications, training and change management programs are carried out to successfully deploy new and/or expanded HR services and programs
  • Counsel and/or mentor employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, disciplinary action and/or terminations in line with company policies and legal mandates
  • Create and manage employee surveys, learning & development and mentoring programs and other initiatives aligned with employee needs and company culture
  • Explore and Review Turnover data for continuous improvement
  • Career Pathing – Facilitate and inspire an environment for growth, focusing on career goals and career development for all employees
  • DEIB Committee & Events – Lead the team in trainings, education, and opportunities to be better humans in the workplace
  • ERGs – Partner with the VP of Operations to create, monitor, and lead these groups
  • Direct and conduct neutral Inquiries and Investigations
  • Performance – Own the performance review process and understand/communicate key performance indicators the team is responsible for delivering
  • Corrective Actions – Oversee the administration of how employees and managers can succeed in quality management so as to improve the organization to reduce undesirable behaviors
  • Learning & Development – Act as the SME for how we educate, train, and provide our employees the tools they need to succeed in their roles daily
  • Employee Engagement – Build and drive a culture of employee engagement to improve business performance and efficiency
  • Employee Relations – Lead our organization’s efforts to maintain positive relationships with employees, to include inspiring employee loyalty, increasing engagement, reducing turnover, and creating a positive, fun, and enjoyable company culture
  • Immigration Matters
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a small team of HR professionals and store managers

Qualifications

  • BA required, Masters level preferred
  • 10 plus years of relevant work experience; deep domain experience in the areas of employee relations, workplace conflict and performance management on a global scale;
  • Ability to perform complex functions in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Required to have Human Capital Management experience
  • Experience owning and directing employee neutral inquiries and/or investigations
  • Demonstrated success in applying fresh, innovative thinking, data-driven and a growth mindset to long-standing, complex challenges/problems resulting in high impact outcomes
  • Strong business and people acumen, as well as consulting, conflict resolution and facilitation skills
  • In depth understanding of DEIB issues and how they apply to employee relations
  • In depth understanding of all aspects of US employment and human resources related laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts and practices, including ADA, ADEA and FMLA
  • Expert analytical capabilities, with the ability to understand and simplify complex sets of data
  • A strong capability to foster a collaborative environment, promoting cross functional teamwork and knowledge sharing
  • A natural ability to influence, inspire, and motivate others, fostering a sense of shared purpose and alignment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and coordinate efforts across functional teams to meet project objectives
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment laws that impact total rewards
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, design and recommend market competitive programs aligned to business strategy
  • Ability to manage change effectively always mindful of technology and business process implications

Compensation: $185,000-$235,000 DOE + bonus and equity
