Our global legal team provides key support for all TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok Legal Team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright, and capable legal professionals to join the team. One of the critical challenges is the need for our team to provide exceptional legal support for the Data Privacy and Data Protection matters involving TikTok. Responsibilities: - Provide global strategic leadership and guidance regarding the responsible use of personal information in connection with our advertising platform and marketing initiatives. - Lead on reviewing new products, product features, and other product-related matters to ensure compliance with data protection laws. - Lead on responding to questions from our advertisers and other partners about our data protection practices. - Lead efforts to develop global standards and policies surrounding privacy and data protection practices. - Create trainings and be a global subject matter expert on the application of data protection laws. - Monitor privacy trends across markets to determine trends and issues for the company to address.
Qualifications
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school - Member in good standing of the California, New York, Washington - 10 or more years' of post qualifications experience. - Excellent communicator and comfortable tracking, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks and projects. - Experience, and more importantly personal interest, in advertising technology and the advertising ecosystem is ideal. - Experience with analyzing products to determine their compliance with applicable data protection regulations and principles. - Strong sense of problem-solving and proactive work ethic. - Determination to face tough challenges in a fast-paced environment while keeping a sense of humor. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $213000 - $305000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
