Practice Group Overview: This firm’s award-winning Intellectual Property (IP) Group, working with their preeminent Media + Entertainment and Litigation Groups, attracts industry superstars. Clients also include major motion picture studios, and content publishers and distributors seeking to protect and leverage their works and their brands. The attorneys in this group handle all types of IP matter, including patent prosecution, copyright, and trademark registration, defending and asserting infringement and related claims, and negotiating agreements ranging from licenses to purchases and sales of IP assets. This firm brings together a broad-based team of attorneys experienced in all aspects of intellectual property. Whether they are defending a major Hollywood film studio against a copyright infringement claim or securing patents for a start-up technology firm, their IP Group has the knowledge and experience to optimize and protect their clients’ valuable intellectual property. Responsibilities:

  • Handle patent prosecution matters in various technical fields and patent litigation.
  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications and manage patent portfolios.
  • Conduct validity and infringement studies.
  • Support patent litigation, licensing, and due diligence for corporate transactions.

Requirements:

  • 2020 or 2021 graduate with a degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent professional and academic credentials.
  • Two to three years of experience in patent prosecution or as a patent examiner.
  • Registered patent attorney or eligible to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Compensation & Benefits: $195,000 to $205,000/year -- The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
