Duration: 1 month and we extend on a monthly basis.

Updates from Managing Attorney:
Looking for a paralegal with 3+ years of experience. A plus if a candidate has a paralegal certificate.
Top 3 skills: Drafting answers, discovery, and summarizing medical records/discovery responses.
Looking for a candidate with bodily injury experience.

Description:
Performs a variety of legal related tasks under the direct supervision of an attorney.
Provides professional assistance and support to the legal staff in the development, research, management and resolution of legal issues involving their business unit.
Prepares and drafts routine legal documents, agreements and pleadings related to litigation and non-litigation matters.

Experience: Typically 3+ years of experience in a paralegal capacity.

Knowledge:
Working knowledge of paralegal concepts, procedures and practices.
Knowledge of operations, practices and procedures of general counsel or civil litigation.
Knowledge of the filing requirements of relevant courts and administrative agencies.
Must have a demonstrated knowledge in legal research and deposition motion practices as well as appellate procedures.

Skills/ Competencies:
Analytical, research and organizational skills. Ability to set work priorities that conform with established standards.
Ability able to give presentations in both formal and informal settings.
Strong verbal and written skills for contact with associates, attorneys, clients and customers.
Ability to operate a personal computer and related legal and business software and data bases.

Education:
Undergraduate studies in business administration, insurance or other related area preferred.

Designations:
Certification in paralegal studies or equivalent experience.
