Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith, PLC is seeking a litigation associate to work in its Clayton, Missouri office. We are a growing, AV rated, regional full-service litigation firm with offices in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. This challenging position requires a minimum of 5-10 years’ litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities: 

• Independently draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discover and other file documents
• Attend depositions, court hearings and other appointments independently
• Understand and meet client billing and reporting guidelines and expectations

• Provide recommendations and case analysis to clients on appropriate file handling strategy • Travel as required to meet business needs

• Strong persuasive legal writing skills and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to multi task and solve problems with a sense of urgency
