We are searching for a contract HR Immigration Coordinator.
Working closely with the People team, you will assist our immigration team. You’ll help coordinate the onboarding and employment of employees throughout the business, including employees who require work permits. This is a full-time, contract role.
Responsibilities
Initiate case matters for new hires/amendments with outside immigration counsel
Post and remove required DOL postings (LCAs and PERM)
Prepare employment letters and US invitation letters for the business
Provide employees with list of required documents/information for visa appointments and international travel
Liaise with outside immigration counsel, manager, and HRIS for on Snap information required for various case types
Internally track reports including NIV visas, green card initiations, and GC approvals, administrative processing trends and update regularly, RFE trends and update regularly
Respond to our internal payroll team regarding foreign national visa types, as needed
Maintain HRIS system and reports with accurate work visas and expiration date
Assist with other HR Coordinator type duties across the HR team, as needed
Partner with Recruiting, HR, and Managers to ensure that job descriptions meet USCIS / DOL standards
Assist in streamlining the overall job posting process and maintain up-to-date job descriptions, as needed
May assist in other HR projects, if needed
Required Skills
Experience handling confidential information
Some experience using HRIS tracking system (Workday) and Google Suite
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and people throughout the organization and act with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills to communicate with an attentive and personable demeanor
Detail-oriented, organized, capable of working independently, and able to multitask
General knowledge of US immigration visa types (H-1B, TN, L-1, E-3, O-1, PERM, I-140, AOS)
Understanding of where to refer key stakeholders to understand processing times of USCIS / DOL processing times and visa appointment wait times
Comfortable explaining immigration requirements to general audience
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree relating to Human Resources, Business, Law, or another related area of study
