DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel attorney to provide legal advice and counseling on technology transactions and general commercial matters for its Ring, Blink, Key, and Sidewalk businesses. This attorney will support Amazon’s senior management, technology and engineering, marketing, customer support, business development, sales, supply chain, and information security teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating licensing and commercial agreements
- Providing support to the business on other legal matters on an as-needed basis
- Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Hawthorne, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- J.D. degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar is required
- 2+ years of legal experience (with at least two years at a law firm) as an attorney

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of experience structuring, drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements and commercial agreements
- Frequent direct communication with business clients
- Ability to demonstrate great judgment even in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully in a team setting
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
