As an authorized distributor and service center for the world's diesel engine, turbocharger and equipment manufacturers as well as backup power generation manufacturers, MSHS/PPG provides extensive service and inventory support.

Job Summary

The compliance officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with external regulations and internal policies. They develop, implement, and enforce compliance programs, conduct audits, and educate employees on regulations and company policies. This role requires a proactive and vigilant approach to ensure the organization operates within legal and ethical boundaries while fostering a culture of compliance throughout the company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the organization's activities comply.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update compliance policies and procedures according to regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and create educational materials to ensure employees understand and adhere to compliance standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within the organization's operations.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly review operations, transactions, and practices to detect and report any compliance breaches or irregularities.
  • Investigations: Investigate reported violations, irregularities, or complaints, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with different departments, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Advisory Role: Provide advice and guidance to management and employees on compliance matters.
  • Audits and Reviews: Prepare for and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to compliance activities.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience in compliance, auditing, or a related field
  • High level experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets, printers and scanners.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
