About Kirby McInerney LLP Kirby McInerney LLP, founded over 75 years ago, is a New York City-headquartered law firm that represents institutional investors, governmental entities, and individuals in securities, antitrust, and whistleblower litigation. About the Position Kirby McInerney is seeking a Staff Attorney to join the firm’s New York office. The Staff Attorney primarily will work with the firm’s practice groups to assist with a variety of discovery-related legal work relating to the firm’s existing litigation matters. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing documents and conducting factual and legal research relating the firm’s existing cases;
• Working alongside the firm’s associates and partners to prepare for depositions; and
• Assisting with other discovery tasks, including managing affirmative and responsive discovery requests.

Requirements

• Strong academic credentials, including a J.D.
• Candidates must be admitted to practice
• Securities and/or antitrust litigation experience preferred
• Genuine interest in the financial markets and the firm’s core practice areas
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required to handle large volumes of documents and work associated with each case
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
• Strong organizational, team building, and communication skills a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Compensation: The expected annual base salary for this role ranges from $65,000 - $80,000. Kirby McInerney considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
