Compensation decisions are based upon the candidate level of skill, qualifications, geographical location and experience, and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted pay range. Additionally, the position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation (such as cash bonus(es).

Job Summary

The position will require the ability to efficiently support the needs of the U.S. R&D, manufacturing and sales force. You will play an integral role across the organization and be involved in a wide range of legal and compliance endeavors, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance and trainings, IP protection, contracts with customer, vendors and business partners, employment matters, and more. The successful candidate will show the necessary legal and compliance experience and show the ability to live and work in fast paced environment with a group of colleagues striving to build a successful and collaborative team to support healthcare customers across the country.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in healthcare, technology and corporate law. Compliance experience in medical device industry is highly desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including NDA, customer contracts, supplier agreements, Service Agreements, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide legal advice to ensure the company's products and operations comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of changes in healthcare laws and regulations related to medical devices.
  • Conduct legal training sessions for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of legal issues.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Law Degree (J.D.)

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, technology and corporate law
  • Compliance experience in medical device industry is highly desirable
  • Must be licensed to practice law in at least one state. Texas bar is preferred.

Required Skills Or/ Attributes

  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skill
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge in a broad range of legal and compliance practices, including without limitations, FDA regulation, Anti-Kickback Law, HIPAA, Federal and State Transparency laws, IP Laws, Contracts, Labor Laws, etc.
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality.
