Foreclosure Attorney Korde & Associates South Portland, Maine

We are working with our client, Korde & Associates, P.C., with an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, full-time Foreclosure Attorney to join their team in the South Portland, Maine office! We are seeking an organized, energetic, and self-motivated attorney for a high-volume, fast-paced Foreclosure Department. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements of the Foreclosure Attorney:

  • Admission to Maine Bar, in good standing
  • Admission to the Maine Federal District Court a plus
  • Admission to any other New England state bars a plus
  • 3+ years of real estate foreclosure experience and creditor rights/defense and debt collection.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills required with an ability to complete work efficiently and accurately within specific time constraints.
  • Must be able to multi-task and adapt to various assignments.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage a busy workload.
  • Must be able to efficiently leverage technology, learn common software platforms used by the Firm including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook.
  • Must be able to learn various client web-based systems and legal practice software.

  • Salary Range: $85,000 to $115,000 commensurate with experience

Responsibilities of the Foreclosure Attorney:

  • Responsible for all stages of the Maine judicial foreclosure process.
  • Draft and file pleadings in Maine state and federal courts
  • Demonstrate exceptional legal research, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and advise on possible case strategy and potential outcomes.
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases.
  • Attend various legal proceedings, including mediations and contested and uncontested court hearings and trials throughout the state.
  • Report and track case activity and results in Firm’s case management system.
