Summary:

This is a great opportunity for someone that has experience both in private practice and in-house at MNCs for the North America. This role is a member of Global Employee Relations and Employment Counsels team, who primarily focus on supporting HR teams across the global to ensure compliance of employment-related matters. This role will be collaborating with internal stakeholders for providing expertise for a broad range of employment-related matters, proactively offering preventive advice and solutions to regional HR teams for a range of human resource practice topics from employee relations (“ER”) perspective, including, but not limited to, recruitment, compensation and benefits, retention, discrimination, harassment, performance, discipline and separations. This role will also provide advice on employee data related matters. The geographic coverage of this role is primarily U.S. and may be expanded with the growth of the business. Key Responsibilities

  • Advise, mentor and guide internal stakeholders, in particular, regional HR teams, around complex employee relations decisions, including performance management, retention, discrimination, harassment and separations;
  • Design and deploy ER related policies and advise regional HR teams on other HR policies from ER perspective;
  • Design and deliver ER training programs;
  • Advise on employee data-related matters, including collection, process and protection;
  • Standardize investigation process, formulate relevant policies and provide guidance on internal investigations of ER cases including but not limited to allegations of harassment and discrimination; conduct timely, objective, and thorough internal investigations of ER cases associated with high-risks;
  • Identify evolving and unique employee relations challenges and proactively provide risk mitigation solutions;
  • Monitor legislation developments and trends, and provide proactive solutions;
  • Manages or participates in HR projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; J.D. is preferred;
  • Minimum of 7 years ER experience; worked both in private practice and in-house at MNCs for the North America region is preferred;
  • Solid knowledge of federal, state and local laws, and statutes which govern employment policies and practices, in particular, FLSA;
  • Experience in advising on employee data collection, process and protection;
  • Experience with issues such as harassment, discrimination, ethical issues, etc.;
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented, and ability to provide actionable solutions;
  • Strategic thinker knowledgeable on best practices;
  • Ability to recognize trends and identify systemic approaches to solving problems;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with teams of all levels with different culture and education background;
  • Proficient multi-tasking, with strong attention to detail;
  • Team oriented person with excellent follow-up skills;
  • Passion for learning, self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic.
