Company Overview: Our client is a well-respected litigation law firm in Washington, DC. It is currently seeking a workers’ compensation attorney to join its personal injury team in Washington, DC. The hired attorney will be representing plaintiffs with workers’ compensation matters in the metropolitan area. The hired attorney will work directly with the head of the litigation department and senior attorneys to ensure that its clients are provided with the representation they deserve.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience of all aspects of Workers’ Compensation required.
• Must be able to manage a full caseload of workers' compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity.
• Work independently and manage a high volume of cases.
• Advise clients on legal matters and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Must be an active member of and in good standing with the Maryland Bar, DC Bar in addition is preferred.
• Experience with depositions and trials.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Skilled in researching and analyzing legal issues.
• Skilled in drafting documents, pleadings, motions and briefs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel and courts.
• Must have a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess a demonstrated history of excellence in their career, as well as a passion for seeking justice for those who have been injured.
• Must have excellent attention to detail, stellar organizational skills and the ability to not only communicate well but to fully grasp real-life implications that these cases have on our clients.
