This Legal Analyst opportunity is great for an individual that is organized, process driven, and detail oriented. 

What you'd do as a Legal Analyst at Care Initiatives:

  • Manage and build out all aspects of the company’s contract management system, including intake of new contracts, locating existing contracts, inputting data, system configuration, running reports, auditing, and conducting user training.
  • Manage contracts through the entire life cycle, including advising on the use of company templates, preparing contracts for signature, managing renewals and expirations, preparing termination letters and amendments, and archiving; Supports other departments with vendor management efforts.
  • Track long term care survey information and metrics; manage centralized repository for survey documentation; ensure timely payment of regulatory fees, fines, and penalties.
  • Submit company license applications and renewals and maintain company licensure records.
  • Administer certain entity management functions, including maintenance of corporate records, interfacing with the registered agent service provider, and tracking and filing periodic corporate reports in the applicable states.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the Legal Department’s efficiency, organization, and communication with stakeholders. 
  • Organize, maintain, and archive key legal documents and other files in accordance with regulatory guidelines and record retention requirements.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

What it takes to become a Legal Analyst with Care Initiatives:  

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree. 
  • 5 years of experience of related experience. Examples of related experience include prior work in the following areas: paralegal; legal support/legal operations; contract administration or procurement; compliance, regulatory, and licensing; risk management.
  • Prior experience working in an in-house legal department preferred.
  • Prior experience working with contracts preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity with healthcare operations, regulations, and laws preferred.
