Senior Litigation Attorney with Truck/Transportation Defense Experience

Join a prestigious, high-profile law firm based in Texas that excels in providing exceptional representation in litigation. We are currently seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with extensive expertise in truck/transportation defense. Defense is our firm's primary focus.

At our firm, we work closely with our clients to gather all pertinent facts and develop the most effective litigation strategy. We prioritize listening to our clients' needs and ensuring a thorough understanding of their options. In situations where litigation may not be the most favorable course of action, our experienced attorneys are adept at presenting the benefits and drawbacks of alternative routes, including early settlement talks and alternative dispute resolution. If settlement is the most cost-effective solution, our team negotiating skills will secure the best possible terms. Above all, we are committed to doing what is in the best interest of our clients. Our track record of success spans transportation, general liability, premises liability, on-the-job injury, medical malpractice, general litigation, and commercial litigation.

The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated self-starter and collaborative team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 90% of truck/transportation defense cases
  • Manage all aspects of the litigation defense docket from initiation to conclusion
  • Demonstrate exceptional drafting skills for pleadings, motions, and responding to discovery in state and federal court
  • Conduct numerous depositions of both fact and expert witnesses
  • Prepare witnesses for hearings and trials
  • Handle trial preparation, including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings
  • Summarize deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits
  • Ability to work effectively with clients who have high expectations

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of litigation experience in truck/transportation defense
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and license to practice in Texas
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting legal documents
  • Demonstrated litigation expertise within a law firm

In addition to a competitive compensation package, our firm offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid parking, billable target of 170 hours per month, and two annual bonuses. After the initial three months in the office, this is a hybrid position that allows for a combination of 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

As a bonus, the firm also offers a year-end bonus in 2023 based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

If you are a dedicated legal professional seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with exceptional trial attorneys, we invite you to submit your resume in confidence. This position is tailored for you!
