Corporate Counsel, Amazon Demand Side Platform (ADSP)

Description

We are seeking an experienced product and advertising/marketing lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Amazon Ads and the Amazon Demand Side Platform (ADSP). ADSP is our programmatic advertising product for campaigns spanning Display, Video, and Audio across Amazon properties (e.g., Amazon.com, IMDb TV, Twitch, Fire TV, and Amazon Music) and tens of thousands of third-party (3P) websites and apps.

As a rising-star Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for counseling the ADSP team on product counseling and marketing/advertising issues, along with supporting negotiations with vendors. You will handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers.

This position requires great judgment, backbone, and common sense, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for candidates who are innovative, extremely hands-on, and customer-obsessed.

Basic Qualifications

  • J.D. and membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 5+ years of as an attorney
  • Experience advising on marketing, advertising, or privacy legal issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a large number of projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
  • Team player and consensus builder who can effectively collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business leaders throughout the organization
  • Business acumen combined with the ability to identify optimal solutions, including novel, creative, and innovative solutions to complex issues
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Some ability to travel as needed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
