Currently seeking an Associate General Counsel to join a talented team of attorneys at a Fortune 500 adaptive distribution energy company. This is a four-month, temporary position. It will be a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite in Waltham, MA. Duties and responsibilities include: drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, providing general legal and business advice and assistance in connection with day-to-day operations, providing general corporate support, and interfacing with outside counsel to ensure proper handling of matters.

Qualifications:

• Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and membership to the Massachusetts bar.
• 5-8 years of in-depth experience in a corporate, real estate or transactional law firm and/or in house working directly with operations, legal and finance teams, and suppliers, customers, vendors and partners.
• Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Ability to identify, explain and balance business and legal risks.
• Ability to develop strong relationships and consistent lines of communications with key people internally and externally.
• Excellent written, oral, listening, and organizational skills.
