Privacy Program Manager

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our business in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment and play an important role in maturing our global Privacy Program throughout the United States, our entities in Australia, Brazil, China, Europe, South Korea, and the United Kingdom, and our globally located creators, customers and brands.

We are seeking an experienced Privacy Program Manager who excels in cross-functional collaboration, communication, and translating complex principles into understandable and actionable steps. Success in this role involves ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations, fostering a culture of data privacy through meaningful engagement, and by developing privacy training and conducting internal audits.

This role will report to our Assistant General Counsel of Privacy and frequently collaborate with the Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance and Data Governance teams. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who can demonstrate a proven history of completing the day-to-day tasks, and who is ready to step up and play an important role in continuing to evolve and implement the long-term Privacy framework.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization to design, implement, and maintain effective data privacy strategies and programs. Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders from different departments to facilitate a collaborative approach to data protection and privacy.
  • Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs): Conduct regular privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new projects and initiatives in close collaboration with project teams to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks.
  • Procedure and Playbook Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data protection practices and documentation, including Data Protection Agreement review playbooks for our commercial team.
  • Privacy by Design: Champion the concept of "privacy by design" by collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data protection into product and service design.
  • Training and Education: Lead efforts to educate and engage employees in various departments, ensuring they understand and adhere to data privacy principles. Develop privacy training materials and conduct privacy training programs to foster a culture of privacy and awareness.
  • Records Management: Manage our data inventory and data mapping program and prepare our Records of Processing. Maintain records of data processing activities, risk assessments, and compliance efforts in partnership with relevant departments.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess data protection and privacy compliance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes in collaboration with our Security GRC team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about developments in data protection laws and regulations and ensure the organization remains compliant with changing requirements.
  • Security Incident Response Coordination: Assist with security incident triage and investigations, summarizing factual findings for legal review, assisting with legal requirements, and documenting communications.
