A JAB Recruitment client is seeking a Contract Analyst for a long-term contract. This role will be considered for conversion to permanent based on performance and market conditions in 2025 - but please note conversion is not guaranteed.

Responsibilities:

  • The Contract Analyst, supports EPC procurement and strategic sourcing; vendor selection, commercial relationship management, contract negotiation, and ongoing contract administration for (EPC) construction agreements.
  • Will work closely with other members of the Project Development team to tender Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and ensure vendor inputs are incorporated into the bid evaluation and contracting process, as well as coordinating between internal functions (Development, Engineering, Legal, and Construction) to advance vendor engagement, contracting, and project setup
  • This position will report to the Director of Procurement and will be based in Houston, Texas
  • Support bidding and contracting efforts for EPC construction, in coordination with procurement, development, engineering, construction, and legal
  • Assist in the development of RFP documentation, bidding strategies, identification, and qualification of bidders
  • Build relationships with internal counterparts in procurement, development, legal, engineering, construction, operations as well as externally with company partner vendors
  • Effectively support the negotiation of agreements for items related to scope, price, terms & and conditions, delivery, and contract changes with EPC partners and major vendors in accordance with company policies and industry best practices
  • Coordinate with Engineering to gather and maintain specifications, scopes of work, and standards to be followed for EPC Projects
  • Track and report on cost movement during negotiations
  • Lead supplier qualifications, processes ERP actions and system requests, as well as maintaining supplier qualification and vendor data formats
  • Provide administrative procurement process functions, including tracking supplier on-boarding documents for the qualification of suppliers to ensure timely processing
  • Maintain department templates, procedures, processes, and policies by updating documentation and applications in a proactive fashion
  • Contribute to monthly reporting and quarterly forecasts with executive management and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in contract management, supply chain management, procurement, or related field
  • Five or more years of EPC, procurement contracts or other related experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an understanding of contract language
  • Working knowledge of the integration between procurement and supply chain systems data
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel: managing templates, charts, pivot tables, formulas, and dashboards
  • Ability to understand complex functions in interdependent workbooks
  • Power user in PowerPoint: must have the ability to draft slides independently under minimal direction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Experience with ERP systems, Oracle preferred
