A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Professional Liability Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience to join their team in New Orleans, LA.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing initial case analysis, developing strategies, preparing and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting motions, and attending hearings
  • 2+ years of experience with case handling, depositions, and motion writing
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a solid academic background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct legal research effectively
  • Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial analysis of cases and develop effective case strategies
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests
  • Take and defend depositions as part of the legal process
  • Draft motions and attend hearings on behalf of the firm's clients
  • Explain legal options to clients, highlighting potential outcomes or threats

Requirements: Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school. In good standing and able to practice law in the state of Louisiana. Excellent Benefits with competitive salary and bonus
