A Family Law Attorney is mid-level attorney with a practice focused on Family law for at least 5+ years. The successful Family Law attorney is self-directed and thrives with lots of support and autonomy. The Family Law Attorney will receive a substantial portion of their work through Gravis Law's lead generation and marketing and/or other attorneys in the office. An established book of business is not necessary. Attorneys have access to coaching and support services for Family development and networking. The Firm prioritizes a work-life integration, a collaborative culture, and a competitive compensation & incentive structure that is unique to the industry.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Successful record of mediation experience
  • Significant and successful trial experience
  • Researching and analyzing the law on complex legal issues
  • Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other documents
  • Marketing your and the firm's services to prospective clients
  • Performing discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation
  • Performing due diligence in all matters
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills, including competence in empathetic listening.
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

The Attorney is expected to meet all Minimum Collection Requirements. Additional information about the Minimum Collection Requirement and the Revenue Sharing Program has been provided to the Attorney for review and signature.

Requirements

*FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent legal research skills.
  • Established book of business.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the bar in the state in which you intend to practice.
  • Typically, 5+ years of experience as an attorney.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.

ATTORNEY EMPLOYEE BENEFITS AT GRAVIS LAW: Gravis Law offers a professional work environment, a competitive salary including bonuses, along with generous benefits which generally include:

Wage: Annual Salary from $75,000 - $110,000+ based on experience.
