Statewide law firm is currently seeking a dynamic ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Trial Attorney for our Concord office. With 45 years working in the California legal industry and 6 offices statewide, our firm has experienced continuous growth. Position Purpose

Trial attorneys try unlawful detainer actions in CA state courts throughout San Francisco on behalf of property owners and managers. Trial attorneys will also respond to legal questions by phone when in office (as available).

Compensation

$ 135k+ (DOE) + Benefits

Schedule

Position is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.

We currently offer a hybrid in-office remote work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete the majority of their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.

Essential Functions And Basic Duties

Responsible for trying unlawful detainer cases in CA state courts on behalf of property owners and managers, negotiating settlements, drafting pre-trial motions, pleadings and discovery.

Required

J.D., Active CA Bar License. General overview of landlord-tenant principles and CA Civil Code. Must have 3+ years of trial experience (including jury trial experience), strong writing and oral advocacy skills. Attorney must be a self-starter and be able to devote full time to the preparation for trial and trial presentation. Must be able to type, listen and work with people of all educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds who may have differing communication abilities. Must have knowledge of various rent control ordinances, unlawful detainer law, and post foreclosure eviction law.
