We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team to support Snyk’s hyper-growth as our Contracts Operations Manager reporting into Lead Counsel in the Legal Department. This individual should be highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization and show a proven track record to thrive successfully in a fast-paced technology environment. This position is responsible for shepherding go-to-market (“GTM” or sales) contracts through the contracting process. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of contracts with Snyk’s Global Sales Contract Policy.  This includes: ensuring compliance with the applicable signing authority matrix; validating that proper approvals are obtained and documented; and facilitating the contract execution process. Functional responsibilities include management of our DocuSign platform, a transition to, and management of, our  Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool, Ironclad, and maintenance and reporting of contract attributes and related data.  

A successful Contract Operations Manager should be prepared to adapt to additional complexities as Snyk grows into new markets and launches new products, and will regularly meet with cross functional stakeholders in legal, finance, deal desk, and corporate information systems (CIS) to continually improve the contracting process. While it reports into the Legal Department, this is not a lawyer role and will not involve contract drafting or legal negotiations.

 

You’ll spend your time:

  • Reviewing revenue-related (“sell-side”) contracts for accuracy, compliance, and the attainment of all internal approvals in accordance with Snyk’s Global Sales Contract Policy
  • Routing contracts in a timely manner, to the appropriate signing authority based on legal entity, including after traditional office hours during peak times at the end of each fiscal quarter
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining sell-side contract workflows through DocuSign and Ironclad, consistently looking for opportunities to improve and streamline operations
  • Being the data owner responsible for contract attributes and related data including financial, commercial, legal, and other critical information housed in DocuSign, SFDC and Ironclad
  • Acting as the contract administration subject matter expert for all sell-side contract types and related adjustments including (but not limited to) contract amendments,  renewals, assignments, novations, etc
  • Coordinating with sales, sales operations, business development, CIS, legal, and finance to ensure all stakeholders’ interests are represented prior to contract execution
  • Prioritizing and managing additional ad-hoc projects, requests, and responsibilities that increase the speed, efficiency, and auditability of the contracting process

 

You should apply if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, pre-law, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Have 5+ years of contract administration, GTM operations, deal desk, or similar experience
  • Have Solid understanding of SaaS-related revenue recognition, commercial legal, and commercial SaaS terms
  • Possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and communications skills
  • Have meticulous attention to detail, project planning, and  organizational skills

  • You are familiar with using or implementing contract administration, Legal, and Sales software, particularly Ironclad, Docusign, and SFDC.
  • Understand the importance of contract lifecycle management and the quote to cash process
  • Easy to work with and can build strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders that have diverse interests.
  • You are able to juggle multiple priorities and tasks in a very fast-paced environment while remaining positive and resilient.
