Job Title: Deputy General Counsel Location: Fort Lauderdale area (Hybrid for the right employee) Compensation: $200-225K + $75K Bonus + Equity Skills: Contract negotiation, review & drafting, Labor/Employment Issues, Dispute Resolution, Commercial Real Estate, IP/Trademarks

We are a leading Health Insurance provider with a growing legal team that needs an Associate General Counsel to help manage contracts, compliance, litigation strategy, statutory filings, and infringement issues. If you are a highly organized attorney that seeks an Associate General Counsel role with a growing industry leader, than this could be the perfect position for you!

In this role, you will :

• Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts
• Create and maintain contract templates
• Lead legal issues related to labor and employment and advise the HR team on best practices
• Update and maintain employment documentation, including policies, trainings, and agreements
• Support the internal compliance team
• Lead internal dispute resolution related to TCPA matters and contract disputes
• Manage outside counsel on litigation matters
• Advise on risk management and best practices
• Collaborate with the General Counsel to support M&A matters due diligence and documentation
• Provide General Legal Support to business units
• Assist in process creation
• Implement policies and ensure compliance
• Support risk avoidance initiatives

Must have skills:

• JD degree
• Licensed to practice law (active and in good standing) with a state bar
• 8+ years of experience

Nice to Have Skills:

• Insurance Experience
