Organization and Team

The Global Safety & Security (GSS) organization is responsible for curating and sustaining our unique ServiceNow work environments around the world, helping to bring our purpose to life in the physical sense. We own the full life cycle of our physical safety and security in the workplace. The Global Safety & Security team plays an essential role in this mission with a goal of creating safe and secure workplace environments for our culture to flourish.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Investigations Manager to lead our Global Investigations team. This role is crucial for conducting high-visibility physical security investigations related to complex, sensitive, and high-risk incidents. The successful candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement and corporate investigations managing significant cases, ensuring the protection of company assets and interests through meticulous investigation processes. This position involves drafting training materials, policies, and procedures related to investigative and physical security measures, as well as acting as a senior trainer for new investigators and corporate security personnel. Collaboration with business partners and coordination with local, state, and federal authorities is essential. The role demands a deep understanding of leading complex investigations, managing a team of contract investigators, contract management, and security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-visibility investigations into complex, sensitive, physical security matters and high-risk incidents. Ensure thorough risk assessment and management strategies are in place for workplace violence and threat scenarios.
  • Manage significant cases to protect the company's assets and interests through thorough interviewing, investigation, case generation, report development, and providing recommendations. Special focus on understanding and mitigating risks associated with workplace violence and external threats.
  • Draft, implement, and update training materials, policies, and procedures related to investigative and physical security efforts, with a strong emphasis on workplace violence prevention and threat management.
  • Serve as the senior department trainer for new investigators and corporate security personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for their roles, especially in handling and de-escalating situations of workplace violence and threats.
  • Collaborate regularly with business partners and maintain coordination with local, state, and federal authorities to facilitate investigations and resolutions, with a keen eye on preventing and managing incidents of violence and threats in the workplace.
  • Lead a team of contract investigators, overseeing contract deliverables, performance, and development to ensure high-quality investigation outcomes, particularly in cases involving potential or actual violence and threats.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of contract management and security operations to oversee and optimize the department's resources and processes, ensuring robust systems for threat assessment and management are in place.
  • Possess a deep understanding and strong experience in workplace violence, threat management, and mitigation strategies, enabling the development and implementation of proactive security measures and response plans to ensure a safe and secure work environment for all employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in a relevant field are a plus.
  • Law Enforcement experience leading complex criminal investigations is a plus.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in conducting and managing complex investigations within law enforcement and corporate environments, preferably in technology or related sectors.
  • Experience in international case management, demonstrating the ability to navigate cross-border legal and cultural complexities.
  • Extensive knowledge of investigative techniques, legal implications, and security protocols related to fraud, intellectual property, workplace violence, and other high-risk incidents.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team of investigators, including contract personnel, and fostering their professional growth.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and legal teams.
  • Proficiency in drafting and implementing policies, procedures, and training programs related to security and investigations.
  • A deep understanding of contract management and security operations, with the ability to strategically manage resources and streamline processes.

For positions in the Seattle metro/Kirkland areas, we offer a base pay of $143,300 - $250,700, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
