IntePros is excited to partner with a leading and innovative insurance provider, in helping them identify a dynamic and results-driven individual to join their legal team as an Attorney in Juno Beach, FL. This position is hybrid, 3 days onsite per week; relocation assistance is provided as needed.

Position Specific Description:

The legal team plays an integral part in managing risk and executing on the company’s growth initiatives. Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry is required. Employees in this job perform a variety of routine legal assignments and projects of varying (basic to moderate) complexity and deliver timely and quality legal services to clients with close supervision.

Key tasks will include the following:

  • Experience with coverage evaluations and defense of property, casualty and/or liability insurance matters.
  • Assist in valuing claims.
  • Advise Company on legal issues and strategy related to litigated and non-litigated insurance defense matters.
  • Provides commercial and transactional contract and document review.
  • Provide ongoing legal advice to various departments of insurance company.
  • Research federal and state law and provide strategic input on law, technology and other rules and procedural requirements for insurance industry.
  • Assist in formation, purchase and sale of insurance related entities.
  • Collaborate with compliance, underwriting, and finance team members on insurance initiatives.
  • Manage outside counsel and review settlements.
  • Conducts legal research, drafts legal documents and assists more experienced attorneys in transactions.
  • Provides legal advice to business units, and prepares resolutions and forms.
  • Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel.
  • Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will preferably have 2-4 years of experience in an insurance defense law firm or in-house insurance company.
  • Member in good standing of a State Bar.
  • Juris Doctorate.
