Job Title: Project Finance Attorney – Renewable Energy

Our client is a distinguished legal practice specializing in Renewable Energy Project Finance. The firm is renowned for its expertise in navigating complex legal landscapes within the renewable energy sector.

Salary : $200k - $225k Location : Chicago, IL

What you'll do : Legal Counsel :

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on project finance transactions within the renewable energy sector
• Draft, review and negotiate a range of project finance documents, including loan agreements, security documents and financing agreements

Client Representation :

• Represent clients in negotiations with financial institutions, investors and other stakeholders involved in renewable energy project financing

Regulatory Expertise :

• Ensure clients' compliance with all pertinent legal and regulatory requirements in the renewable energy industry
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations impacting project finance and provide strategic advice on compliance

Risk Management:

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments related to project finance transactions and formulate strategies to mitigate legal risks

Collaborative Approach :

• Collaborate closely with internal legal teams and other departments, including finance, project development and engineering, to provide integrated legal solutions

Dispute Resolution :

• Manage and resolve legal disputes and claims related to renewable energy project finance, aiming for efficient and favorable outcomes

About You :

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the bar in Illinois
• 4+ years of experience as an Attorney, specializing in project finance within the renewable energy sector
• In-depth understanding of financing structures, tax equity and regulatory frameworks specific to renewable energy
• Exceptional negotiation, communication and analytical skills
