We are searching for a Real Estate and Contract Paralegal to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As a Legal Counsel, you will serve as point of contact on real estate matters as described below, coordinate communications between internal RCP stakeholders, JLL resources and external parties, and provide general support to the Legal Department. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate with Senior Counsel to review, organize and updated all real estate records, including researching and retrieving public records and internal information from other departments (i.e. BU operations, tax, finance, accounting, and EH&S).
  • Manage and update real estate files, and coordinate with JLL as needed to document lease obligations, expirations, etc.
  • Coordinate updates and real estate information with internal departments (i.e. BU operations, tax, finance, accounting, and EH&S).
  • Attend monthly lease meeting with Accounting to provide updates on leases or outstanding transactions.
  • Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks that are consistent with supporting RCP BU’s/Legal Department. Property Specific Support (Leased, Owned and 3PL Warehouses).

We need you to have:

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • 5-10 years in a business environment corporate counsel capacity or comparable law firm.
  • Experience with general private company law practices.
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Icing on the cake:

  • Prior experience in the Consumer Product Goods industry.
  • Experience as counsel for a large multi-state company.
