Job Description:

The Legal and Administrative Associate will be a pivotal member of our team, providing essential support to the Chief of Staff. This role will primarily focus on legal matters including NDA tracking, assisting with business development related agreement preparation and tracking, as well as managing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and have a strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • NDA Tracking: Maintain an organized system for tracking Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), ensuring compliance with deadlines and renewals.
  • Business Development Support: Assist in the preparation and tracking of agreements related to business development activities such as partnerships, collaborations, and contracts.
  • Legal Document Preparation: Draft, review, and edit legal documents under the guidance of the Chief of Staff or legal counsel.
  • Office Management: Handle various administrative tasks including but not limited to managing office supplies, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal documents and administrative files.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing timely and professional assistance as needed.
  • Research: Conduct legal and administrative research as assigned, providing summaries and recommendations as necessary.
  • Support Chief of Staff: Assist the Chief of Staff with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a legal or administrative role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with legal document preparation and contract management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Paralegal certification
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
  • Familiarity with document management systems.
